Shut down computers and PC's at night at home and in businesses to save energy.
Consume less. Use things until they wear out, buy second-hand, repurpose old things into something new.
Purchase recycled paper items. Think toilet paper, greeting cards and beyond.
Have your name removed from marketing lists whenever possible to eliminate junk mail.
CONSERVE WATER!
The typical American home uses about 300 gallons of water a day. Here are some helpful hints to conserve water around the house.
1. Shut off the sink water while brushing teeth.
2. Shut off the kitchen faucet when washing dishes and make sure to fill the sink up instead of letting the water run to wash.
3. Save unused bath or shower water with buckets to water plants inside and out.
4. Fix all the dripping faucets or running toilets in your home ( a 1/32” leak in a faucet can waste up to 6,000 gallons of water a month or 72,000 gallons a year.
5. Make sure and run a full load of dishes instead of only a few.

Car pool - Car pool - Car pool! Each gallon of gas used by a care contributes about 19 pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere. For a single car driving 1,000 miles a month, that adds up to 120 tons of CO2 a year. All of the GREEN TEAM agents need our vehicles for our business, but we are going to be car pooling more, schedule showings (especially out of town) with other showings to make the trip more economical. Take turns picking up your children from school with other parents. If you have a vehicle that can burn E85 gas (Flex fuel vehicle) do it! You can sometimes get another 3-5 miles per gallon this way depending on your vehicle make. There are so many easy tips you can do to help save in this one area. SEE THE LIGHT! Replace incandescent lights with compact fluorescents (CFL), which use three-quarters less electricity and last years longer. The new CFL's don't flicker and give an excellent quality of light. They also generate less heat, so your air conditioner doesn't have to work as hard.
